Modelled in 3DS Max and textured in Substance Painter. It weighs 14k tris and is on 3 x 2048 texture sheets.
This is a personal project I have been dipping in and out of. I wanted to master the high to low workflow through 3DS Max and Substance Painter as well as improving my texturing skills. When I have used high to low modelling techniques in the past, they've usually involved ZBrush for doing all my detailing. This time however, all the high-res modelling was done in Max using NURBS (TurboSmooth). This actually proved quite effective as I could later just remove the modifier and take out all the edge loops which saved a lot of time.
